Patek Philippe's Golden Ellipse model magnifies its harmony by combining an elegant rose gold chain bracelet with the finesse of a case inspired by the Golden Ratio.

Always faithful to its constant quest for innovation and creativity, Patek Philippe pays tribute to craftsmanship by reinterpreting the iconic Golden Ellipse model with a modern, patented chain-style bracelet, combining elegance and comfort in the new reference 5738/1R.

A unique structure made up of fine rows of links reminiscent of rose gold chain-style bracelets, with a total of 363 elements, more than 300 of which are assembled individually by hand.

The result of 15 years of development, this new bracelet is distinguished by its great flexibility, eliminating the technical inconveniences of adjusting its length and adaptability.

With this design, the manufacturer recalls the aesthetic of the 1970s, a time when the Golden Ellipse was one of the most iconic models, reintroducing and reinventing the "chain" bracelet, and also building a bridge to that golden age of watchmaking design.

An icon of style and great creativity, it contrasts a rose gold case and bracelet with an ebony "sun" black dial, set against which the fine rose gold hour markers and hands stand out. Its harmonious proportions are also reflected in the intersection of the circle and the rectangle of its case.

With harmonious proportions and a refined design, the Golden Ellipse reference 5738/1R is the thinnest watch in the Patek Philippe collection (5.9 mm). Inside, it houses the extra-thin self-winding Caliber 240 with a 22-carat gold mini eccentric rotor.
