Patek Philippe expands its iconic Calatrava collection with three new white gold references that combine classic sophistication with contemporary style…
A tradition of innovation
Since 1839, Patek Philippe has been committed to continuing the traditional Genevan watchmaking art. As the last independent Geneva manufacture owned by a single family, it enjoys complete creative autonomy, allowing it to design, develop, and manufacture watches that specialists agree are the finest in the world, in keeping with the ambitions of founders Antoine Norbert de Patek (1839) and Jean-Adrien Philippe (1845).
With a history marked by exceptional expertise, Patek Philippe cultivates a tradition of innovation crowned by an impressive portfolio of more than 100 registered patents.

The Patek Philippe Seal
The Patek Philippe Seal, the most rigorous in the watchmaking industry, covers the entirety of the finished watch, including the movement, case, and other external aesthetic components such as dials, hands, pushers, bracelets, clasps, and more.
It encompasses a commitment to the utmost precision of movements—with a maximum tolerance of -1/+2 seconds per day. Its regulations include very strict requirements regarding the manual finishing of components, carried out in accordance with the great Geneva tradition. It certifies the quality of the materials used, as well as the perfection of the precious stones and the craftsmanship of the gemsetters.

Savoir-Faire
The crown jewel of a Patek Philippe watch is the fact that, from the case and dial to the beating heart, it has been hand-finished by a dedicated specialist, using techniques passed down from generation to generation.
Mastery in hand-finishing is also part of the astonishing range of high craftsmanship produced by Patek Philippe, where this art is employed to create exquisite enameled watches, splendid Dôme table clocks, and collectible pocket watches with marquetry, enamel, or gem-set cases and dials.

The Cross of Calatrava
On April 27, 1887, the venerable Geneva Manufacture officially registered the Cross of Calatrava, which has since become its legally registered trademark. On January 25, 1908, it renewed this registration to include the expression "Croix de Calatrava" as a verbal identifier and identifying element of the brand.
One of the reasons Jean Adrien Philippe adopted the Calatrava Cross in 1887 (Antoine Norbert de Patek had died ten years earlier) was its ornamental graphic quality and the fact that it was a century-old signature. It is an attractive aesthetic symbol whose beauty has remained unchanged over time, without succumbing to passing fashions.
