New 3006, the evolution of an icon

On the occasion of the launch of the new version of our 3006 model, we take a look at the evolution over decades of this solitaire that, over the years, has become our great icon of commitment.

The solitaire is undoubtedly one of the great timeless classics of jewellery that has accompanied us for more than 80 years of history. A ring composed, as its name suggests, of a single central diamond as the protagonist.

Although this diamond usually appears in a brilliant cut, we can find it in other options, and even in some designs, it can appear surrounded by a border of diamonds, or incorporate this same precious stone in the arms of the setting.

This last case coincides with the new version of our iconic solitaire 3006, a unique and very recognizable design from our house that evolves once again to give life to a renewed version that continues to maintain the essence of the original model, but with diamonds on the arms of its timeless setting.

This new version still uses 18K white gold as the precious metal, and the exclusive diamond specimens that are incorporated into the structure become a path of light that exalts all the potential and what our precious stones represent. Symbols of excellence carefully selected at the source by the SuƔrez family and its team of experts to ensure that each commitment shines in a unique way.

The rest of the silhouette continues to maintain that classic shape in which the arms narrow slightly to raise the central diamond to its maximum expression, and the six discreet claws that surround the stone to reveal all its splendor are also still present.

In short, the new 3006 is a solitaire that, if it was already pure light in itself, has managed to go one step further, demonstrating that there are no limits to luxury and excellence.

The strong connection between Suarez and the world of engagement has been consolidated since its origin in 1943, when solitaires were made in white gold and platinum, with fancy borders that were very trendy at the time.

Then, in 1960, the design underwent a radical change, its arms were extremely thin at the top and very wide at the bottom. At this point the diamond appears set very high and with eight claws.

In 1970 the design changed radically, the diamond setting was much lower and the design had 6 claws.

In the 1980s the setting became yellow gold, the diamonds appeared in chatons, and the silhouette of the arms was much more rounded and voluminous.

In the 90s, the setting was made of white gold in the chaton that sets the diamond and the outside of the setting was made of yellow gold. At this time, solitaires were given a much greater volume and thickness.

In 2003, our iconic 3006 solitaire was born in white gold and with six prongs that manage to bring out the maximum brilliance of our diamonds. The arm of the rings is a little thicker and squarer.

In the following years, the design was refined, the arms were softened and rounded. The prongs were given much more prominence, thicker than in previous designs, and the setting was slightly lowered.

In 2016, the bands began to be refined and the setting was lowered even more to give the central gem greater prominence.

From 2018 to the present, our solitaire 3006 with or without diamonds on its arms, manages to give maximum prominence to the raw material. The profile of the jewel makes a slight curve as it rises from the setting towards the diamond to enhance the brilliance of the stone.

In 2025, the new 3006 is reinventing itself without losing its essence. More than a jewel, it is the reflection of a legacy that shines brighter than ever. A solitaire that is pure light.
